Defeated Liverpool Players back from Champions League Match Against Roma

The semi-final match in the Champions League between Roma and Liverpool took place last May 3 with a 4-2 (6-7 Aggregate) score. Liverpool’s loss challenges the team to reevaluate their strategy for their game against Chelsea to land a spot in the final four.

The players have landed in England from Rome Thursday afternoon. In spite of the loss, Liverpool still proved that their game against Roma was still a European occasion for the club. There were no celebrations with their returns, but Liverpool’s football manager, Jurgen Klopp has taken quite an amazing season for European football.

Liverpool’s upcoming face-off against Chelsea on Sunday, May 20 should help solidify a place in the final four. There is still a big chance for Tottenham and Chelsea to claim the sacred spot from Liverpool if they hold back and forget to strategize.

Pressure isn’t exactly on, for their heads not being entirely in the game during their Premier League Campaign, due to their aggregate win against Roma. Thanks to Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum’s away goals, the chances of Roma’s comeback look quite dim.

The much anticipated final match of Liverpool will be against Real Madrid. The superpower beat Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate as well in a comparable, close and entertaining encounter. All eyes are on Mo Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo butting heads, but Salah is adamant to the attention.

“It is not going to be a final between Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo, I am playing for a great club and we have great players, so qualifying to the final come with great teamwork.” Salah is clear that he is not where he is in the league without the effort exerted by his Liverpool mates. He also adds that the support of the Arab community in winning the Ballon d’Or is much appreciated but, the main focus is and should be for the team as a whole.
