With the finals between Liverpool and Real Madrid in Kiev nearing, the Champions League final is something Sadio Mane is confident of dominating. Real Madrid has been the Champions League victors 12 times which the 26-year-old winger fiercely believes Liverpool can swipe in the coming final.
Mane adds that Liverpool has scored 40 goals in this year’s competition which just heightens the strong belief and positive outlook he has on behalf of Liverpool for the May 26 final. The ballsy footballer doesn’t seem to be intimidated by the Spanish giants and the possibility of getting their third European title in four years if they do win in Kiev.
“I can say at this moment we do have a lot of respect for Madrid, they are one of the best teams in the world, but we are Liverpool – we are strong and we can beat any team in the world.”
The main purpose for Mane is to play the game, fight for Liverpool’s fans without any fear, and of course to win the game altogether. “We have the players. We can score goals, we have shown that and there is nothing to be afraid of for us.” Mane added.
Jurgen Klopp’s Hand in the Liverpool
Talk about Liverpool’s club manager Jurgen Klopp hasn’t always been great. Although, players like Dejan Lovren praises Klopp for his efforts in molding the team in their journey towards their first piece of silverware.
Lovren says “He has changed many things in the club, not just the players but things around the club – people, he has changed the mentality, how we think.” It is no surprise that Lovren and many others only deem Klopp’s win in the 2013 Champions League with Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool is truly back on its feet and stronger than ever with utmost pride because of Jurgen Klopp’s hand.
The Champions League final will be held on Saturday, May 26 in NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine. Only then can we tell if Lovren and Mane’s pride for Klopp’s Liverpool is utmost worthy, staying tuned is all we can do right now.
