Ben Woodburn Ties the Knot with One Oxford United Loan

League One Oxford United just acquired Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn on loan to help get his football career up and running with first-team football. Liverpool history has the 19-year-old player as the youngest goalscorer in 2016. However, despite his promising new record, last season showed his rather rocky performance on loan at Sheffield United which did not land him a spot in Jurgen Klopp’s 29-man squad for Liverpool’s France training camp this coming week.

With One Oxford United taking the promising young talent in, Liverpool is hopeful that the team’s manager Karl Robinson will mold Woodburn into an ideal top pick. Woodburn shined when he broke Michael Owen’s Liverpool age record by scoring against Leeds at 17 years old by 45 days. It was back in March 2018 when Woodburn’s appearance for Klopp where he was able to score his second impressive goal against Trinidad.
