Liverpool Injuries: Virgil van Dijk Sent Home for Injuring His Ribs; Mohamed Salah Back on Merseyside Post Muscle Pain Issues

The star football players of Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah, have recently come back from international duty earlier than expected due injuries. With a Holland-Germany match played in the Nations League, 27-year-old Van Dijk was declared unfit to travel with the rest of his Belgium squad for the friendly match on Tuesday.

Liverpool’s centre-back sustained injuries from a match against Southampton 3-0, with severe implications on his ribs. After further consultation, doctors decided that it wouldn’t be safe for Virgil Van Dijk play in Brussels come Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah has returned to Merseyside post muscle inconsistencies which he got from the 4-1 win over eSwatini. In spite of the win, Salah was declared to sit back from the coming game against the same team next week.

26-year-old Egyptian player expressed his sorrows on Instagram as he snaps a glum airport selfie. Liverpool’s match against Huddersfield is on Friday, but there is still no confirmation whether Salah and Van Dijk will play with their mates or not. The two power players have yet to take fitness tests prior to the game to prove their playing capacity, which can either make or break the team’s Premier League standing.
