Jose Mourinho Gets Out of United Bus and Walks to Old Trafford for Juventus Match

Manchester United’s infamous Jose Mourinho was stuck in traffic and radically decided to walk to Old Trafford out of his car. Mourinho wanted his United players to walk with him to Old Trafford but due to security issues, security chiefs, unfortunately, did not approve of the Portuguese’s request.

Mourinho left the team bus and walked half a mile to Old Trafford prior to the match against Juventus for the Champions League. United players were left in the bus as the 55-year-old marched on to the stadium which left many fans and critics questioning the team’s support for their boss.

Sportsmail reports that the players had no choice in the matter and had to stay in the vehicle after security got involved. The security team expressed that they only had enough detail for the manager and not for the rest of the team. Thus, Mourinho braved the streets and crowds to be able to get to Old Trafford, in fact, it was actually a short walk from where the bus was stuck.

Despite getting to the game in time, United was not able to make Mourinho’s march worth it with a loss of 0-1 against Juventus. This was United’s second “tardy” due to traffic issues wherein the club was fined for getting to the Manchester City center in time during their last game against Valencia. These late arrivals have delayed the team’s pre-match routines which definitely took a toll on their dynamic against Juventus’ power players.
