Burnley Finishes Strong and Shows off Grit and Glory to Brighton as Matched Reached a Tie

Burnley hasn’t always been the cream of the crop, and despite not being a rather “showy” team in the Premier League, the team manages to surprise time and again. One thing that can’t be overlooked when it comes to Burnley is their team’s tenacity and Sean Dyche’s will power. There’s a sense of pride as Burnley was able to achieve a draw against Brighton last Saturday at the Amex Stadium.

Burnley lost momentum during the first few minutes of the match which did rock the boat a bit Dyche’s side. The 48-year-old had a lot to do with the direction his team ended up going. He strategically threw off Jeff Hendrick and Matej Vydra at the 90th minute as a way to salvage a precious point for his team. Hendrick, the 27-year-old Irish midfielder also happened to celebrate his 100th Premier League appearance.

A player from Dyche’s side has been described to have made points late in the game, not making enough leeway into surprises. However, the equalizer was defended by Hendrick saying it was an executed move he and the team thoroughly learned from. “We have done it a lot since I have been here,’ said Hendrick. “The team have always stayed in games and even when things aren’t going great on the pitch, we stick in there and give ourselves a chance to take something from the game.” Hendrick adds.
