Arsenal’s finest Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny is ready for a Turkish move to Besiktas for a whole season. The 27-year-old decided to swap playing time for Premier League for the Turkish Superlig in his attempt to find a regular first team. Despite his eight Premier League appearances, the footballer hasn’t delivered enough at the Emirates and has been advised by Unai Emery himself that his place in Arsenal is a “surplus to requirements.”
On the French side, however, Bordeaux has been keen on watching the player in hope of making a last-minute transfer. However, it looks like Elneny is sure to join Besiktas’ manager Abdullah Avci’s side on loan. The Turkish club is expected to foot Elneny’s wages for the campaign, as Unai Emery’s side has made adjustments into their expenditures with their current bill.
Aside from his Premier League appearances, the 27-year-old has also made 7 appearances in the Europa League, which had the Gunners made the final alongside London rivals Chelsea. Elneny also made one appearance each at the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
