The Champions League matches are intense in it of itself. It’s not every day we get to witness super pro footballers kick a ball and make a stadium go insane. However, in the recent Barcelona match during a Champions League campaign, Balon d’Or owner, Lionel Messi executed quite the mesmerizing run and pass set up against Inter Milan.
The phenomenal move showed Messi side-stepping Kwadwo Asamoah and instigated one of his long dribbles which eventually led to making a remarkable pass to Suarez. Suarez’s first touch took him beyond Diego Godin who enabled him to score the winning goal for Barcelona.
When asked after the 2-1 Barcelona and Inter Milan match, Messi said, “I am still getting started. This the first time that I have completed 90 minutes. As the season goes on I will gradually let loose.” In terms of the issue of his relationship with Antoine Griezmann, he said, “’There is a good relationship in the dressing room. We have a very united group,’ he said. ‘We had trouble getting going in this game but we are getting better.”
