Manchester United’s vice-chairman Ed Woodward hasn’t been having it with Jose Mourinho’s decision-making process in buying new recruits for the football club. Their relationship has been rocky due to the club’s transfer policies and Mourinho’s demeanor toward it.
Releasing more funds is something the vice-chairman refuses to do due to Mourinho’s questionable spending who has expended £70million on just one midfielder and 2 goalkeepers, Fred from Brazil, Diogo Dalot from Portugal and Lee Grant respectively.
Paul Pogba, Romelu Lakaku, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard are some of the football stars that will be joining Manchester United this season, solidifying the team’s morale and dynamic. Jose Mourinho did express slight anxiety towards recruiting more players, but he did present Woodward with a list of 5 names quite a few months ago.
“And that one, I gave a list to my club of five names a few months ago. And I wait to see if it’s possible to have one of these players. If it’s possible, it’s possible. If it’s not, it’s not. If it’s possible, it’s good. If not then we keep fighting and working and believing in the players we have.” Mourinho expressed.
There is no denying that there is financial power in United’s arsenal and their bid for certain players from Mourinho has nothing to do with the cash-flow discrepancies at hand. Manchester United’s Vice-chairman Woodward has put his foot down and declined to release more money which left Mourinho alarmed.
