Arsenal Will Have to Make Adjustments to Get Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha to Join Unai Emery’s Team

Crystal Palace’s 26-year-old forward Wilfried Zaha has brought his A-game throughout the season and has managed to make an impression on Arsenal. However, Unai Emery and his team will have to make adjustments and sell their striker and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to make room for Zaha. This doesn’t make it an easy decision for the manager though, with a spectacular season that the 30-year-old captained and contributed to.

Arsenal’s brilliant season in the Premier League, however, isn’t enough to secure a renewal since they were not able to qualify for the Champions League. The team’s budget has been affected as a consequence of a third consecutive season in the Europa League and has been left with just £45million in the transfer budget.

The transfer window for Arsenal is very much open for the 30-year-old but only if they’re able to raise enough funds to get Zaha by offloading striker Aubameyang. It’s not Emery’s first move but it is a tough call to let the Premier League’s joint top goal scorer from last season go. The 30-year-old made a move from Borussia Dortmund back in January 2018 for £56 million and managed to score 22 times for the North London outfit last term, tied to Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
