AFC Asian Cup Champions Gets Lavish Gifts from Emir of Qatar

Qatar has recently been crowned as the champion of the AFC Asian Cup 2019 tournament. Felix Sanchez Bas’ team outclassed Japan in the finals 3-1. The victors had a complete breeze in the game scoring 19 goals and only conceded once.

The team’s victory has brought pride for Qatar and the Emir of Qatar has reportedly given each player of the national football team with quite a luxurious gift. According to Iranian media, each player was given an apartment in London amounting to £ 2 million in cash, monthly salary for the rest of their career, as well as the latest model of the Lexus car, and a royal audience for lunch at the Emir’s mansion.

The top score of 9 goals was accumulated by Almoez Ali, along with Ali Daei who was the highest scorer in a single edition of the tournament’s history. Akram Hassan Afif finished the big match with a stunning tally of 10 assists and a goal to his credit. Qatar was able to topple cup favorites and historical powerhouses of Asian football this year. Saudi Arabia, South Korea, UAE, and Japan were all fan favorites that unfortunately did not get to bring home the championship cup.
