United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Keen in Working with his Current Squad despite Alderweireld’s Move

Thirty-year-old Toby Alderweireld, Tottenham Hotspur’s central defender is set for a plausible move to Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is bound to make a decision soon, hopefully, next week on the final say whether or not the Belgian player has a shot for a transfer to Manchester United. Alderweireld’s contract with the Tottenham Spurs ensures a leave for the amount of £25 million, which United is open for in an effort to bolster their defensive options after a series of poor performances in the last season.

Despite their eagerness to try new approaches to improve, welcoming new players and what not, Alderweireld’s transfer is still unsure since United’s manager seems to just work with what he has now. According to the Daily Mail, the Belgian footballer has little by way of resale value but he represents a proven player in the Premier League for a lowly fee.

In United’s last 15 matches, Solskjaer’s team failed to secure a single clean sheet during the Premier League season. United’s move forward does already secures Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, and Phil Jones among others to help make room for competition in other places in the squad. If Alderweireld’s transfer is successful, he would be a boost in United’s back-line.
