Manchester United Shows Interest in Thomas Meunier after Palace Nabs Wan-Bissaka

With expected procurement of Aaron Wan-Bissaka for Crystal Palace, Manchester United is turning to Thomas Meunier, making the 27-year-old Belgian player their prime pick for the team. Ole Gunnar Sloksjaer’s team has been reportedly been in discussion with the PSG right-back for the past week and have talked about concerns regarding the priced out move of Wan-Bissaka that may or may not affect Meunier’s compensation package for the season.

Crystal Palace has taunted United with a valuation offer more than £70m for Wan-Bissaka. However, the team does take comfort in the fact that United is not the only one interested, with Manchester City and Everton also after the 21-year-old PSG star player.

Meunier, on the other hand, has just a year remaining in his contract with PSG which is likely to cost around £25m. The player expressed his rather neutral optimism saying, “The club and management know, I would like to finish my contract at PSG or why not extend it? If this is done, so much the better and if that is not done, we will see what is possible and we will go elsewhere.”
