Nicolas Pepe’s Departure from United Met Leaving Christophe Galtier with a Big Sigh

French footballer and Lille’s prime player, Nicolas Pepe is set to leave the club for a chance at playing in the Premier League. As confirmed by the manager of Lille himself, Christophe Galtier confirms that the 23-year-old is set to take his chances with clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal who has expressed interest in the Lille winger.

Pepe’s contract with Lille amounts to £69 million with an impressive display in the last season notching 21 goals, and 12 assists for the French club.

“He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club. There will be a battle between the great European teams. I hope that he will take a good amount of time to think about it, do his research, like he did when he came here and when he decided to stay here (last summer), find the right project.” Galtier tells the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old footballer very much served his club down to the very end with an impressive 5-0 win against Angers last Saturday. Pepe’s execution and pacing in the field are what got him recognized in the very beginning, fans have cheered for the French-Ivorian player, gaining him loyal admirers in and out of the league itself. Pepe may be walking away from Lille, but the winger will have to show the same level of execution on the field as he makes his way into the Ivory Coast at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
