Red Bull Salzburg’s Hwang Hee-chan Eyed by Arsenal

Red Bull Salzburg’s forward, Korean superstar Hwang Hee-chan may have bared the loss of his team against Liverpool last week, but his individual performance caught the eye of some of Premier League’s big clubs. Some of which include Arsenal and Crystal Palace, however, Hwang has been on the roster of “must-watch” players from huge European leagues in the last three seasons now. The 23-year-old’s game-changing execution in the Liverpool-Salzburg 4-3 match last week for Champions League seemed to be the final push that has gotten several clubs hooked on him.

In the last season, Hwang has garnered seven impressive goals in 11 matches, with two more notable ones in Europe. The Korean forward is still under contract with Austria until the end of next season with a likely transfer in considering the maintenance of his playing form. Turning Virgil van Dijk’s move prior to scoring an impactful goal was what got clubs to notice him in the first place. Since his disappointing loan spell with Hamburg in the German Bundesliga last season, Hwang has shown an impressive demeanor that’s hard to go unnoticed.
