Pep Guardiola Denies Rumors on Summer Departure from Man City

There have been rumors that Catalan coach, Pep Guardiola will be departing from role as Manchester City manager, however, the 48-year-old smashed these rumors and instead will be honoring Manchester City’s contract with him until 2021. Other new circulating on his possible departure is an opportunity to move back to his native, Spain but according to the Telegraph, Guardiola will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

After three and a half years with City, Guardiola is committed to finishing his term with the club with a bang. The two-time Champions League winner shares with sources close to him that there’s “no chance” of him fleeing City soon. However, with his impeccable coaching talent and a stellar record of record-breaking wins, it’s no doubt that many teams are after the coaching giant.

Guardiola has shared with some sources that he is, of course, open to the idea of signing new deals with Manchester City. Although, he is also waiting to see if players and hierarchy have as much consistency in their faith in his leadership in the long run. Guardiola’s Manchester City will be going against Real Madrid tomorrow, January 16th with Zinedine Zidane’s men present to possibly give him a run for his money or another sweeping victory.
