Neymar Denies Rumors He Wishes to Flee PSG

Rumors have been circulating regarding Neymar’s departure from the PSG, under Thomas Tuchel. However, the 27-year-old forward for Tuchel’s team officially rejected these suggestions and revealed his true intentions. Neymar has his eyes set on winning Champions League with the Ligue 1 giants. He tells France Football “Why would you want to leave here? I still have two years on my contract, the team is continuing to progress. We have to stay focused on this season to do things well and win as many titles as possible.” Neymar says.

“This season, the goal is the Champions League. My priority is PSG, with maximum involvement each week. The goal is to always win the next game. In every game, we have to fight for the club. That’s how I see it.” the PSG forward adds. When it comes to his character and his desire to play football, Neymar passionately explained why he plays the sport and who he is on and off the field, saying, “I never play to be the number one. I just play because I love football. Playing football makes me feel happy. And every time I’m on the pitch, I give 100 percent.”

Tuchel’s top player has had quite a struggle in the last few years since he joined PSG two years ago, despite claiming consecutive Ligue 1 titles, which opened doors for his former tea Barcelona to lure him back, which he of course declined. Recently though, the forward has been catching up quicker and faster, managing to make 8 goals out of 11 matches, which ultimately rejects rumors that he is leaving the team.
