Liverpool Eyeing for Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas

Now that the season is beginning again, football clubs have been pursuing players from here to that and there. And Liverpool… Yes, Liverpool Football Club, the Premier League champions 2019-20 is set to sign Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas for an £11.75-million deal.

This Greek superstar has performed well and knocked out the last season with a bang, so the Reds are excitedly waiting for their first signing of the transfer window, 24-year-old Kostas Tsimikas to Merseyside before signing a four-year contract with the squad.

Having the lack of a left-footed backup for Andy Robertson, the genius Jürgen Klopp aims to boost and to strengthen specific areas of his winning EPL team much more. Hoping for a back-to-back championship, the Liverpool FC should make a smart move and getting Tsimikas might be the brightest idea for now.

Klopp made a move for Norwich’s left-back Jamal Lewis. However, the £10-million bid was rejected a week ago. And as what people say, “when a door closes, another one opens,” leaving Liverpool to the Olympiakos defender who played at Molineux as the Greek side were knocked out of the Europa League.

Agreed by both parties, the Liverpool FC and Kostas Tsimikas would have a four-year deal worth £50,000 per week at Anfield. Yu-uh, higher than Lewis! This move by The Reds might frustrate Lewis who was keen on moving to Anfield.

Second full-back to depart the Greek champs, following captain Omar Elabdellaoui’s announcement about his leave due to expired contract, Tsimikas is just starting a whole, new football game in history. No one knows what the future brings, so we will see on this one if Kostas Tsimikas would be The Reds’ additional lucky charm to the squad.
